Hi Father Peter, I arrived in HQRE in 1963 when Ted Carradus was the Chief Clerk (he eventually became a Lt Col QM) a very nice person. I suspected that Ron Peirson had a drink problem - when I was his Cpl Clerk he really piled the work on me. I remember the people you named. Unfortunately I cannot place your face so if you have any photos of your time at Nienburg I would appreciate it if you could email copies to me at 'davies.dp@gmail.com' to add to my collection of memiors. I am 67 and now retired after 22 years with the REs and 23 years as a Local Government Officer. Regards Dave Davies
Was in HQRE (Later 21 Engineer Regiment). Chief Clerk was WO2 Peirson (who had a personality problem!). Dave was a L/Cpl, there was a Spr. Wood (Woody), The CO was Lt.Col Peter Campbell, and the Adjt. was a Capt. Dobbie. The 2iC was a Maj. Wright. After WO2 Pierson left, a much more resonable Chief Clerk arrived (a really good guy). I left the Army and have been a full time Priest/Padre for the last 25 years. Am Chaplain to H.M Royal Marines, and now 61. Revd. Father Peter D. Clegg. BD (Oxon)
